Steering Wheel: How It Is Important?
Steering Wheels are the most imperative part of all modern land vehicles including automobiles along with heavy and light trucks. It is a part of steering system that a driver can manipulate according to his ease, and the rest of the steering system will respond according to such changes. Such a control can be attained by direct mechanical connection as the rack and pinion steering gears with and without the help of Hydraulic Power Steering (HPS). Today, most of the cars are equipped with computer controlled motors. Such steering can be better called as Electric Power Steering.
These are mainly used on some SUVs and trucks. There is a connection between end of the steering rod and threaded rod that is fitted into a threaded block of metal that rotates on turning the Steering Wheel. This metal block with threads transfers this rotation to pitman arm to tie rods and track rods which in turn rotates the wheels. There are ball bearings present between the teeth of the block that re-circulates through the gear when it turns.

Tips On Buying A Steering Wheel and Cover
Pretty much everything on your vehicle can be replaced with original OEM or customized aftermarket accessories to help upgrade its performance or overall style. One of the simplest things you can do is to replace your stock steering wheel by considering buying a steering wheel, from aftermarket retailers, to give your car a stylish sportier look as well as better handling.
Next comes the type of material you would like. Steering wheel covers come in leather, wool, sheep skin, terry cloth, cloth, and vinyl. If leather is your choice then you need to be aware of the quality. Top grain leather, which is actually the top of the hide where the hair grows, is smooth to the touch. One step below, in types of quality materials, is known as splits or suede’s. The finish of these grains is rough but manufacturers will usually buff and apply plasticides on the grain to make them appear to be top quality. However, this particular material does not have the same feel and texture as that of top grain leather. You can expect to pay about thirteen to fifteen dollars for lower grain leather and anywhere from forty to fifty dollars for top grain leather.
